Individual Projects

Success stories from practice

Successes don’t happen by chance. They arise where everyone works together towards a goal. That is exactly what we do in daily projects for and with our customers. Here we use selected reports to show you how we deal with challenges, develop solutions – and improve our processes or create something completely new with our “Nothing is impossible” mentality.

Our Project Highlights

Efficiently in motion

An international beverage manufacturer and renowned general contractor are investing in a new, highly automated logistics center at their site in Spain. Located directly adjacent to the country's largest and most productive beverage manufacturing plant, this cutting-edge warehouse concept will connect production, high-bay storage, and shipping seamlessly by 2027. As part of this major project, ROFA INDUSRIAL AUTOMATION GROUP has implemented two innovative electric pallet conveyor systems (PPC). These systems will handle the automated transport of pallets loaded with beverage crates between the production lines and shipping zones.

Efficient material logistics for a clean energy future

ROFA CHINA is implementing a dual-level heavy-duty powered pallet conveyor system for Sungrow ENERGY Storage Technology, one of the leading companies in the Chinese clean energy industry.

Full Speed Ahead with the New AGV Final Assembly Line for Tractors

CNH modernizes final assembly line in St. Valentin to 760 m in length with future-oriented ROFA technology.

A legacy plant in innovative transformation

In the early 1930s, the foundation was laid for one of the most significant automotive sites in Germany. Today, this fully electric site impresses with its state-of-the-art production, supported by ROFA's conveyor technology.

Development of successful cooperation

A partnership that has proven its worth! This is what Porsche AG relies on when constructing the production hall at the Leipzig site, charging ROFA Group with implementation of the entire conveyor technology in car body construction.

Unrivalled excellence - Final assembly for german truck plant

ROFA AG designed a customized transport solution for the final assembly line for one of the biggest truck manufacturers in the world. Even in the tendering phase, ROFA left the competition in the dust: None of the other competing candidates were able to meet the required performance parameters.

Faster from A to B

The well-known beverage manufacturer Adelholzener Alpenquellen is expanding its site in Siegsdorf / Germany for improved supply availability and flexibility. Heavy-duty electrified monorail systems from ROFA AG will be used to seamlessly link production to high-bay warehouses and establish a connection between warehouse and dispatch.

Komatsu forestry machines - final assembly

With a 16-unit fleet of AGVs, the ROFA Group is assisting the continuous assembly of heavy forestry machinery in the new plant in Sweden.

Perfect cooperation with international logistics general contractors

This powered pallet conveyor project for a British automotive manufacturer falls in the middle of the turbulent Brexit era. But these circumstances weren’t able to interfere with the scheduled start for the new “Logistic Operations Center” - which was also thanks to the outstanding cooperation with the general contractor for the entire system.

Sow flexibility, reap productivity

The ROFA Group designed an AGV assembly line for the leading manufacturer of agricultural machinery, CLAAS, that is completely tailored to the new, modular generation of combine harvesters. With flexible routing, a powerful lithium-ion battery concept, and custom load handling, the manufacturer is now well prepared for any future developments.

Free travel for special constructions

The new assembly hall for a commercial vehicle manufacturer was an incredible play for the ROFA Group project team that allowed them to demonstrate the full range of their abilities. Together, ROFA AG, ROFA LEHMER GmbH and other group subsidiaries succeeded in building a truck cabin assembly line with many customer-specific features and overcoming the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Electric Spot Landing

Where mobility is changing, assembly processes are also changing. The ROFA Group has developed an assembly line for a leading German automotive company that is completely adapted to a new electric SUV. Fully flexible, highly ergonomic and fit for the requirements of Industry 4.0 production.

Marriage In South Africa

Successes don’t happen by chance. They arise where everyone works together towards a goal. That is exactly what we do in daily projects for and with our customers. Here we use selected reports to show you how we deal with challenges, develop solutions – and improve our processes or create something completely new with our “Nothing is impossible” mentality.

From Zero To The Top

Especially nice: If you are recognized by the customer as one of the top suppliers right after the first joint order. This is what happened in this maiden project for a British premium car manufacturer, with whom we opened up a new production site in Eastern Europe.

Crisp, Fresh Picking Idea

Sometimes you have to come up with something completely new. Like we did for the Kaufland chain, which was seeking an innovative picking solution to deliver fruit and vegetables to branches faster. In a development partnership with the customer, the ROFA Group launched a completely new system: the Flowpicker®. It is now causing a sensation in the market.

From Haiger To The Rest Of The World

The municipality of Haiger between Wetzlar and Siegen is small, but the hub of the world for the housing and control cabinet manufacturer Rittal. Deliveries to sales companies all over the world are made from the Global Distribution Center located here. This requires highly automated intralogistics, which helps to keep clearly defined delivery promises on time.

Let´s Go Electric!

Electromobility is coming. That much is clear. But how do the required bodies get to the corresponding production lines? The answer is a tailor-made AGV fleet, which we have implemented for a leading German automobile manufacturer.

Perfectly Organized Clinical Routine

In order for patient care to run like clockwork, everything has to work perfectly in the background. More and more clinical operations are relying on automated guided vehicles – preferably from the market leader MLR System GmbH. These are now being used in one of the largest university clinics in Europe.

Traditional German companies and global players, large brands with mojo and hidden champions – our customer base is broadly diversified. The tasks with which we are entrusted are just as diverse. Upon request, we’re happy to present our range to you and work with you to develop initial solutions for your task.
